Title of the project: Framework contract to conduct studies and provide technical assistance for the implementation of the Facility “Adapt’Action”.

The French Development Agency (Agence Française de Développement, AFD) has recently selected the consortium led by SAFEGE with Prospect C&S as partner to take part to the implementation of the new Framework contract to conduct studies and provide technical assistance for the implementation of the Facility “Adapt’Action”.

The general objective of this Facility is to contribute to the application of the Paris Agreement of December 2015 by supporting the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC). It also aims at promoting the investments in the adaptation to climate change. The object of this framework contract is to provide on demand teams of short-term experts of various profiles in the sector of Adaptation to Climate Change.

The framework contract will last for 4 years and comprises 2 lots:

  • Lot 1 concerns a list of Small Island Developing Countries and some Least Developed Countries;
  • Lot 2 concerns a list of 8 African countries.

The specific missions under this framework contract will cover a range of subjects such as the mainstreaming of climate change adaption in the different sectors (agriculture, livestock rearing, fisheries, coastal zone management, forestry, water, sustainable land management, protection of biodiversity, tourism, urban development, renewable energies, education, etc.), institutional strengthening, climate finance, budget planning, development of strategies, vulnerability assessments, Disaster Risk Reduction.
