Prospect C&S just started a four years Technical Assistance mission in South Africa aiming at supporting the Platform for Agriculture Risk Management (PARM) through the NEPAD agency and his Agriculture and Food Insecurity Risk Management (AFIRM) initiative.

The purpose of the assignment will be to support the implementation of the outcomes of the PARM process which is already ongoing in nine African pilot countries. For each country, the PARM process will identify and prioritize key risks in agriculture and propose tools and mechanisms to mitigate them.  The mission will assist the NEPAD in the selection and implementation of three rural infrastructure pilot projects in three different countries.  The selected projects are aimed to be at community level in order to catalyze private sector investment and produce evidence-based models for further replication.

The mission is financed by the German KfW and will be implemented jointly by PROSPECT C&S and GFA.
