Background | Prospect C&S is member of the NEEMO consortium, formed by 9 European companies, which is contracted by the Executive Agency for Small & Medium-sized Enterprises / European Commission to monitor the projects of the LIFE programme. As part of these responsibilities, NEEMO also organises thematic platform meetings and conducts dedicated studies regarding the implementation of the EU environmental policy (e.g. marine, forest, land stewardship, etc.). Within NEEMO, Prospect C&S runs the central team and is in charge of the monitoring of the LIFE projects in Benelux. Since 2014, different strands have been included in the LIFE programme, such as climate change. Additionally, large integrated projects (so called IPs) have been launched, for the monitoring of which additional expertise is required. These IPs intend to implement environmental legislation and goals on a wider scale. They provide funding for plans, programmes and strategies developed at the regional, multi-regional or national level. Among others, nature protection (including Natura 2000 network management) and water management are two areas of primary importance in Integrated Projects. The present recruitment takes place in this context.
