Development of “Institutional Sustainable Land Management Frameworks and Practices” for OECS Member States

Under the EU-GCCA project on Sustainable Land Management (SLM) in nine OECS countries, participating Member States will receive technical assistance (TA) to develop, revise, and/or update several “effective and sustainable Institutional land management frameworks and practices”. The TA will further assist in “building resilience to the impacts of climate change and also in achieving long-term protection and sustained productivity of natural resources within their respective countries”.

The proposed interventions cover a wide range of areas including but not limited to: - National Climate Change Adaptation Policy and Strategy, - Environmental Legislation and Regulations, - Forestry Policy, - Regulations, and Strategy, - Land/use Policy and Strategy, - Physical Planning Legislation and Regulations, - Updating of Town and Country Planning legislation, - Local Area Plans and Strategy.
