RECIPES: Renewable Energy markets in Emerging and Developing Countries
RECIPES is an EU-funded project, which aimed at developing an understanding of the Renewable Energy markets in emerging and developing countries. This included the promotion of these markets to the European RE industry and contributing to the implementation of renewable energy in emerging and developing countries. The starting point of the project was identification of the potential of renewable energy in developing countries for 2020. This was based on an analysis of: the technical potential and the effects of different barriers (national policy, practical feasibility, energy market development and economic restrictions). Based on this potential, quantitative and qualitative assessments were made on the socio-economic and environmental implications and the opportunities for the EU industry.
