Two projects awarded in Vietnam

Prospect C&S s.a. continues to develop its Management Services and capacity building portfolios by delivering needed support to development and assistance projects in South East Asia. Belgian clients working in Vietnam have awarded the company two new projects.

The Commission Universitaire pour le Développement (CUD) has entrusted Prospect with the evaluation of a key PIC project (Projets Interuniversitaires Ciblés). The project is focused on the improvement of income for rural populations in Central Vietnam by increasing food crops yield on poor soils and has been running for several years.

While the Belgian Technical Co-operation (BTC) has awarded Prospect to carry out a consultancy on integrated waste management options and a training project on solid waste management in Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen province, with a total population of 150 000 people and a daily waste production of 88 tonnes.

The project will include translation of existing training materials as well as the elaboration of new material and tools adapted to the local context. A four days capacity building session is carried out in May 2010. Consulting will be performed prior to the training and will focus on the assessment of recycling and composting alternatives of adapted advanced technologies.
